By joining the Pullen PTA, you help us meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of their budget. You also get great discounts, locally and nationally. When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board— you set a fine example for our students to follow and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.

IF I JOIN, DO I HAVE TO:

• Go to meetings? 
  Nope! Meetings are not required but it is a great way to help us build new student programs, stay informed, and for your voice to be heard. 
  
  
• Volunteer or spend a lot of time at school? 
  Nope! By joining the PTA, you are simply investing in your school and your student. If you choose to volunteer, we would LOVE the help! 
  
  

WHAT DO MY DUES PAY FOR:

• FUN EVENTS that YOUR student LOVES like Field Day, STEAM Night, Movie Night, and Grandparents Lunches!  
  We use money from the dues to pay for vendors, decorations, snacks, printers and printing supplies for our photo booth pictures, and other special items that make these events extra special for our students. 
  
  
• SPECIAL TREATS for YOUR teachers like surprise snacks, a few Teacher Lunches, and other goodies that make your teacher feel loved.
  We use a small amount of dues money to help fund items for Teacher Appreciation Week, Appreciation Lunches and other items that help make our teachers feel valued.  Our teachers are always so thankful for these little tokens of appreciation!

By joining PTA, you are taking a major step toward improving your child’s school, your community, and your state and national education policies. The number one reason to join PTA is to benefit your child and in doing so, you help your school. But, there are so many other advantages.

Here are just a few:

• Get Connected. There’s no better way to know what’s happening in your school. By attending our PTA general meetings that are held throughout the school year, you can hear about and sign up for ways to get involved and get the latest scoop on what is going on at the school.
• Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs designed for parents as well as students.
• Tap into a Network. Parenting is not easy - it helps to share ideas, concerns and experiences with other parents and educators in the community. PTA functions are opportunities to meet other parents and teachers, building rapport and discussing issues that are on your mind. 
• Watch Yourself Grow. By volunteering with your PTA, you gain valuable experiences. It’s an opportunity to put your skills and hobbies to good use for a good cause—your child and all children in the community.
• Speak Up. Because the PTA is a forum for exchanging ideas, you are encouraged to make suggestions. PTA can be a way for you to more effectively suggest change at your child’s school.
• Witness Improvement. By getting involved at your child’s school you’ll be part of the solution, helping make positive changes. Local PTAs play an important role in fundraising to provide building improvements, curriculum-based programs and social events – all vital to a school’s success.
• Be A Role Model. Set a good example for your kids by being involved yourself. By becoming a PTA member, you’ll be demonstrating to your child the importance you place on education.
